My current work is almost totally based on research I have completed in Arctic regions of Svalbard and Greenland, during residencies at the Galleri Svalbard in Longyearbyen, and with the Arctic Culture Lab in Ilulissat, . My interest in working with ice as a material is becoming a way to develop a series of artworks meaningful in the context of climate change. The staging of COP 26 in Glasgow in 2021 provided me with an opportunity to offer comment and reflective perusal of the significant issues we face on the planet. Since COP 26, my icy work had further exposure in a major exhibition for the Edinburgh Science Festival of 2023, and I am currently working towards incorporating the results of my trip to Greenland in a further Glacial Narrative.
