So – I have been hiking over on the Eastern border of Finland through some of the most beautiful wilderness country imaginable – pristine forests and dramatic bogs with all colours of the rainbow. Here are the best of the shots of the forest trails:
There have been so many amazing details to record that it has been tricky trying to keep up with my fellow walkers – all of whom were much faster walkers than I am….but I managed to get a good few shots of shapes and colours and quirky bits and pieces:
We stayed in a variety of different places ranging from wilderness hostels to old fashioned farmhouses. All had interesting detail – as did the picnic and fire building spots we passed along the way. It is all incredibly well-managed by park and ranger services – it puts us on the UK to shame.

and here are yet more pics of the trip

i’ll post some more soon with ideas of how i might develop some art from what I have seen… and any ideas and comments from people reading would be most welcome!
